New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s son Rehan failed to cast his vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections owing to his exams, stated a report. Rehan Vadra (19) would have turned into a first-time voter. However, he did not vote as he went to London to write his exams.
“Rehan cannot vote today as he has gone to London,” said Priyanka Gandhi to the reporters when they asked about her son, the voter who was ‘missing’ at the polling booth.
Notably, Rehan and his sister Miraya had accompanied their parents at the April 10 road show of their uncle and Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.
Earlier in the day, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra cast their votes on Sunday in New Delhi in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
She exuded confidence in BJP’s defeat and claimed that people are “angry and distressed” and will convey their sentiments through voting.
Interacting with reporters after exercising her franchise, the senior party leader said, it was “very clear that the BJP government is going”.
“There is anger among people, and they are under distress. Modiji, instead of talking about real issues, has been talking about random things. And, now, they will express their anger against this government through voting,” the Congress general secretary said.
