New Delhi: All 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana including Hyderabad will go to polls in single phase on April 11. The counting of votes will be held on May 23. Key leaders across parties in the state are K Chandrasekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao, Kavitha and Harish Rao from TRS; S Jayapal Reddy, actor Vijayashanti and Renuka Chowdary from Congress; Asaduddin Owaisi of AIMIM.

Mahabubnagar: It was a stronghold of Congress since it was formed in 1957, but Telangana Praja Samithi, BJP and TRS emerged victorious in different general elections.
In 2014 elections, TRS’ Jithender Reddy had Congress candidate by 2,500 votes. This year, the TRS dropped him following allegations by some party candidates in the recent Assembly elections he did not extend the cooperation.
For 2019 polls, Congress has fielded N Vamsichand Reddy to contest from Mahbubnagar constituency while TRS has nominated Manne Srinivas Reddy.
The Mahabubnagar constituency comprises seven assembly segments — Kodangal, Narayanpet, Mahbubnagar, Jadcherla, Devarkadra, Makthal and Shadnagar.
Nagarkurnool: Congress candidate Nandi Yellaiah had registered thumping victory from Nagarkurnool constituency in 2014 elections. The constituency comprises seven assembly segments — Kollapur, Kalwakurthy, Nagarkurnool, Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Achampet and Alampur.
For 2019 polls, Congress has fielded former MP Mallu Ravi. The last time Ravi won an election was in 1994.

Nalgonda: Congress candidate Gutha Sukhender Reddy had won the seat in 2014 LS polls. He had defeated TDP’s Tera Chinnapa Reddy. For 2019 polls, Congress has fielded Uttam Kumar Reddy to take on Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy of the TRS.
Bhongir: TRS’s Boora Narsaiah Goud had defeated Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy of the Congress by more than 30,000 votes in 2014 elections. For 2019 Congress has retained Reddy to take on sitting TRS MP Boora Narasaiah Goud, a three-time MLA.
Warangal: Warangal will witness a close contest between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Congress and BJP candidates. In 2014 Lok Sabha election, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidate Pasunuri Dayakar won the seat. Srihari had defeared Congress’ Rajaiah Siricilla by a margin of nearly four lakhs votes.
For 2019 polls, Congress has fielded Dommati Sambhaiah. Sambhaiah had contested elections in 2004, 2009, and in 2014, but lost them all. TRS has nominated sitting MP Pasunuri Dayakar. Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Chinta Sambamurthy.
Khammam: Khammam parliamentary constituency of Telangana will witness a contest between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Congress and BJP. While TRS has fielded former MP Nama Nageswara Rao, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Bangaru Shruti. The former Union minister and Rajya Sabha MP, Renuka Chowdary is the Congress face for Khammam LS constituency.
