New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Delhi’s cosmopolitan crowd at the Ramlila Maidan in the national capital on Wednesday and gave a total account of the work done by his government in the last five years.

PM Modi reiterated his statement that the country has seen four types of parties, “Naampanthi, Vaampanthi, Daam aur Damapanthi and the fourth which has been brought by us is Vikaspanthi.” Adding to this statement, the PM said that Delhi has seen a fifth model, ‘naakaampanthi’, the one which rejects work related to Delhi’s development and fails. Modi said such people have spread anarchy in Delhi and have betrayed the people of India.

In a veiled attack at Congress general secretary from UP East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, PM Modi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has worked for the welfare of the people at large and especially the middle class.

“The middle class is given help for their houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Respecting the honesty of the middle class we have kept the annual income up to Rs 5 Lakh out of the taxable income,” said PM Modi listing the schemes brought out by the government.

Taking potshots at the Opposition, PM Modi stated that when work is done with good intentions it yields good results. “Inflation used to be on a rise, it is now under control. The poor have access to houses, toilets, electricity and are given benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana,” said the PM.

Earlier in the day, Priyanka dared the former to fight the remaining two phases of Lok Sabha elections on GST, women security and all those false promises which you made to the youths of the nation.

Lauding the people of Delhi, PM Modi added that the bond between Delhi and the saffron party is strong and that is what motivated the latter to work towards the welfare of the people in the national capital. He said, “I am fortunate that you provided me with the opportunity to serve you. Before I give you an account of my work, I would like to extend my gratitude to every person in Delhi.

Delhi has the energy of Punjab and Haryanathe sweetness of the Poorvanchal, the enthusiasm of the North East, the gentleness of South India. I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to serve.”
