Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Uttar Pradesh will go to polls in seven phases. There are a total of 80 parliamentary seats in the state, amongst them, Agra and Fatehpur Sikri will also go to polls. Here’s all you need to know about these seats.
Agra (SC)
The total number of electorates in Agra is 1,539,683, according to Election Commission of India (ECI) 2009 data. In 2014, Dr. Ram Shankar Katheria from BJP won the elections against BSP’s Narayan Singh Suman. This year, BJP has fielded S P Singh Baghel. INC has fielded Preeta Harit from the seat, while the BSP has pitted Manoj Kumar Soni.
Fatehpur Sikri
The total number of electorates in Fatehpur Sikri is 1,345,742, according to Election Commission of India (ECI) 2009 data. In 2014, Babulal from BJP won the elections against BSP’s Seema Upadhyay. This year, BJP has fielded Raj Kumar Chaher. INC has fielded Raj Babbar from the seat, while the BSP has pitted Rajveer Singh.
The polling for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will begin on April 11 and conclude on May 19. The counting of votes will be held on May 23. The results will be announced on the same day.
