In the video, WhatsApp message released by the TMC, people are being asked to come to Amit Shah’s roadshow with rods and arms to fight the TMC and police.

Releasing the video ‘proof’, Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien said, “Video not only clearly establishes what the BJP did, but proves party chief Amit Shah is a liar.” Adding, he said, “Streets of Kolkata tinged with shock, anger. What happened yesterday hurt Bengali pride.”

Alleging that the Central forces are in cahoots with the BJP in Bengal, Brien said, “We have two more pictures to show, this is to do with the elections, we have nothing personally against the Central forces, we have two startling pictures to expose what we have been saying.”

Further, he alleged the Central forces in Bengal of running a whisper campaign asking people to vote for the BJP in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

The violent clash took place on the streets of Kolkata during a massive road show by BJP president Amit Shah, while it was passing by Calcutta University’s College Street campus. While, Shah escaped unhurt, a bust of Ishwar Chandra Vidysagar, after whom the college is named, was damaged by the protesters.

Earlier in the day, Amit Shah tore to shreds the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government’s claim that the BJP was behind the violence in the state. He said, “Mamata Banerjee claims that BJP is doing it… I want to tell her, we are fighting in every state in the nation, unlike you on 42 seats in West Bengal. Violence didn’t take place in six phases of elections anywhere but Bengal which proves that TMC is responsible for it.”

Meanwhile, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the TMC party leaders, on Wednesday, changed the profile pictures of their official Twitter handle to Vidyasagar’s image. The BJP party members also protested against the violence during Shah’s roadshow in Kolkata.
