Notably, Jaya Prada was taking a jibe at Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan for making derogatory remarks on her against her a few days ago. Azam Khan, at an election rally, without taking any names, had said, “People of Rampur, people of Uttar Pradesh and people of India, it took you 17 years to understand her reality. But, I could recognize it in 17 days that she wears khaki underwear. (Rampur waalo, Uttar Pradesh waalo, Hindustan waalo, usski asliyat samajhne mein aapko 17 baras lag gaye. Earlier in the day, Abdullah – son of Azam Khan also took an apparent dig at Jaya Prada, and referred the actor-turned-politician as ‘Anarkali’, Abdullah said that the BJP leader would be rejected by people in Rampur parliamentary constituency.
