‘When in BJP, he Used to Talk About Nationalism But Now…’, Shah Slams Shatrughan Sinha For Praising Jinnah
Amit Shah attacked Shatrughan Sinha saying leaders of Opposition are now lauding the man who divided the country.

Mayurbhanj: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah lambasted Shatrughan Sinha who recently joined Congress for praising Mohammad Ali Jinnah saying the leaders of Opposition are now lauding the man who divided the country. “When he was in BJP he used to talk about nationalism. Now, he says that Jinnah was a great leader like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel, ” said Shah while addressing a rally in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj on Saturday.
Sinha landed himself in trouble while speaking at a rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara. “The Congress family, from Mahatma Gandhi to Sardar Patel to Mohammad Ali Jinnah to Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi to Rajiv Gandhi to Rahul Gandhi to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It is their party. They had the most important role in the development and freedom of the country. This is the reason why I have come here (in Congress),” Sinha had said.
However, later, the actor-turned-politician clarified saying,’it was a slip of tongue’. “Whatever I said yesterday was slip of tongue. I wanted to say Maulana Azad but uttered Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” said Sinha.

Meanwhile, listing out Modi government’s accomplishments, Shah said that his party has left no stone unturned to bring out development in Odisha. “PM Modi has given Rs 5.56 lakh crore for the development of Odisha but it hasn’t reached the people as it’s been gobbled up by corrupt BJD leaders and babus,” said Shah.
Slamming the Naveen Patnaik government, Shah asserted,”In Odisha, more than 20 BJP karyakartas have been attacked and many have been killed. There can be no place for these murderers in Odisha. I urge our karyakartas and people of Odisha to uproot this violent and inefficient Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government.”
He also accused the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government of robbing thousands of crores of money of poor Odia people in chit fund scam. Furthermore, Shah assured the people that when BJP government comes into power in the state, the perpetrators of injustice will be put behind bars. “I assure you that all the culprits of the Chit Fund Scam will be put behind the bars within 90 days,” Shah added.
