Madhya Pradesh Crime: In a shocking incident, a rape-accused tried to abduct a 22-year-old woman he had allegedly raped earlier, from her wedding in Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh. As per reports, the accused, Salim Khan alias Kalu, had raped the victim on multiple occasions, filmed the sexual assault and used the videos as leverage to blackmail her.

The victim’s parents eventually fixed her marriage with another man, but on the day of the wedding, Salim, along with three other accomplices– Jodha, Shahrukh, and Sameer– stormed the young woman’s house and attempted to kidnap her from the wedding venue.

Videos of the brazen attack have gone viral on social media showing the attackers, brandishing melee weapons, dragging the woman out of her house and onto the road as she cries in agony.

The main accused, Salim can be seen wielding a sword while his co-perpetrators are brandishing iron rods and sickles as they drag the 22-year-old bride-to-be onto the road. Luckily, a large crowd of locals gathered at the scene, forcing the attackers to flee the spot on their motorcycles, and the woman was possibly saved from a dark fate.

Later, hours after the shocking incident, an FIR was registered against Salim and the other accused based on a complaint filed by the woman and her father, police.

‘Bulldozer justice’

Meanwhile, following the FIR, district authorities in Ashoknagar meted out “bulldozer justice” to the accused Salim and bulldozed his house to rubble on Friday.

“Seeing the nature of his act, action against such criminals was inevitable. Taking cognizance of the matter, the police department wrote a letter to SDM regarding the accused. He forwarded the letter to the municipal corporation and revenue department, and it was found that the house was illegal,” SDPO Ashoknagar, Vivek Sharma, told news agency PTI.

“We sent a notice and immediate action was taken. Four members of the same family were involved in the case, including the main accused. There are cases of gambling acts and NDPS acts registered in the name of the main accused, and he has been to jail many times in the past,” he claimed.
