Pune: Trainee IAS Puja Khedkar’s parents are in trouble as Pune police have registered an FIR against them after an old clip of the controversial trainee IAS officer’s mother brandishing a gun at farmers went viral. Acting on the farmer’s complaint, police lodged an FIR against Manorama Khedkar and Dilip Khedkar. Police has registered the case under sections 323, 504, 506, 143, 144, 147, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code and Indian Arms Act.
Cops has acted against the trainee IAS officer’s parents after taking cognisance of the video, said to be at least a year old. The clip showcased Manorama Khedkar allegedly threatening farmers with a pistol in Mulshi tehsil over a land dispute. Notably, Puja’s father, who is a retired government servant, had purchased 25 acres land in the same tehsil.
In the clip, Manorama can be seen, accompanied by bouncers, arguing with a famer regarding the ownership of the land. She can heard shouting at the farmer, stating – ‘Saat-Baara-Utara’.
“You may be the real owner… but this place is also in my name… So what if the matter is in court? I will see how you take everything. I am not afraid of anyone,” Manorama can be heard saying in the clip.
The farmer, then said that the case was in court.
Police are also investigating if Manorama Khedkar had a licence to own a pistol.

Rumors abound that she manipulated the privileges extended to OBCs and folks with disabilities to grab her coveted IAS role.
