Delhi Traffic: The traffic movement will be curbed on Friday, May 31 on as many as 16 roads in the national capital from 9 am to 11 pm.
The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory in this regard, alerting commuters that the movement of vehicles will be affected on 16 roads as mentioned above.
The event is scheduled to take place on Bhati Mines Road in Mehrauli at Guruji Ka Ashram (Bade Mandir). It is anticipated to attract approximately 85,000 to 90,000 attendees from across Delhi, NCR, and neighboring states.
“Mahasamadhi Divas will be celebrated at Guruji Ka Ashram (Bade Mandir) on Bhati Mines Road, Mehrauli on 31st May, 2024. A huge public gathering of around 85,000-90,000 from all parts of Delhi, NCR, and neighbouring states is expected on this day,” the traffic police said in an advisory.
Additionally, movement of heavy and medium commercial vehicles will be regulated on Bhati Mines Road, Bandh Road, Chhatarpur Road and SSN Marg. However, all emergency vehicles will be facilitated in reaching their destination.
To avoid inconvenience, devotees travelling from Faridabad and Gurugram are advised to reach Guruji Ka Ashram (Bade Mandir) via the Dera border. The movement of heavy and medium commercial vehicles will be regulated at Bhati Mines Road, Bandh Road, Chhatarpur Road, and SSN Marg.
However, all emergency vehicles will be facilitated in reaching their destination. Emergency vehicles are advised to travel via Mehrauli-Gurugram Road rather than Dera Road and Mandi Road.
Commuters are advised to cooperate by avoiding or bypassing the roads, if possible, and by making maximum use of public transport, especially metro services.
