4. Mount Abu


The only hill station in Rajasthan, the cool temperatures attract tourists from all over the country with its lush green surroundings and beautiful lakes.

5. Maheshwar


The temple town of Madhya Pradesh may not necessarily be very high on the agenda of most tourists but it should be.

Stay at the Ahilya Fort that is now a luxury hotel, visit the Holkar Fort and the Rajareshwara Temple or just sit at the Ghat and watch life unfold in small town India.
