1. Shillong, Meghalaya

3. Chail, Himachal Pradesh

Chail is a beautiful hill station situated 63 km from Shimla in the Shiwalik region of Himachal Pradesh. A former summer capital of the princely state of Patiala, Chail offers magnificent and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Chail overlooks both Kasauli and Shimla. Lots of trekking trails lead from Chail to Shimla, Choor Peak, Kali Temple, etc. Angling is another popular activity undertaken in Giri River just a few km away from Chail. Nearby by places like Kufri are excellent places to enjoy other adventure sports like snow skiing.

4. Kadmat Island, Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep’s most famous island, Kadmat, has a fine lagoon of even depth, a long stretch of shoreline ideal for swimming and many well-secluded tourist huts. The island has the finest diving spots in India. Considering the potential for water sports, a full-fledged Water Sports Institute and aDiveSchool with well-trained instructors have been set up in the island. Kadmat is the only island apart from Bangaram and Agatti where international tourists are allowed.

5. Coorg, Karnataka
