Since Andaman is a tropical island, there are only two seasons it sees – summer and monsoon. The coastal paradise can be visited throughout the year, but if you want the weather to be nice and pleasant, going between the months of April to June can be your best bet.
During those months, the temperature ranges from a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius. With an average relative humidity of 80%, this is a popular time to visit as the weather conditions are perfect for dives, sightseeing or just a relaxed day in your resort.
A trip to Andamans can’t be complete without water sports such as jet skiing, parasailing, surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. There’s nothing more refreshing than getting an adrenaline rush in the deep azure waters of an island in summer. You can also enjoy lavish cruise rides in summers here. The entire island is surrounded by lush greenery, with a warm, soothing sea breeze blowing at all times.
The places that are absolutely unmissable during this time are Radhanagar Beach in Havelock, where strolling by the shore during a sunset is highly recommended; Ross and Smith Island Beach, Laxmanpur Beach of Neil Island, Wandoor Beach in Port Blair, Long Island, Clique Island, Little Andaman, and Diglipur Island.
Apart from that, you can spend your days sunbathing by the the white sand shores of the beaches of Andaman, day-dreaming in hammocks by the bay, or just drinking your favourite cocktails in the gorgeous shacks.
Keep an eye out for exotic marine animals; especially turtles around the corals and mangrove-lined creeks. Among the wild animals, the most frequently seen around this time are wild boar, spotted deer, crab-eating macaque, python and gecko in the dense forests of the Andaman Islands. Don’t forget to keep that camera handy for some great pictures.
