Recently, a similar protest was launched by Gramin Dak Sevaks following which the postal services in rural areas across the country remained affected for several days. The country-wide strike started on May 22 against the non-implementation of the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations.
Meanwhile, the strike by doctors over non-implementation of 7th Pay Commission has hit patient care in the national capital enormously. The striking doctors have reportedly not received the salaries since two months due to non-implementation of the seventh pay commission. Reportedly, the salaries of these doctors was supposed to be upgraded as per the 7th CPC after approval by the government.
Notably, the doctors have been receiving salaries based on 6th Pay Commission even after government’s approval to 7th Pay Commission or 7th CPC recommendations, long time back. The striking doctors have threatened indefinite strike if no confirmation is given in next 15 days on their pay hike on the basis of the 7th Pay Commission.
