In the process, huge quantity of contraband, including 1,000 kg of poppy, 3.5 kg of cannabis and some quantity of brown sugar were seized and five suspected smugglers arrested in a month, Senior Superintendent of Police (Ramban) Anita Sharma told reporters here Friday. She said police had prepared a list of known smugglers in the area and were in the process of identifying other habitual offenders so that they could be booked and detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
