A team was formed and during the raid the police arrested Ashok Ram, his wife Anita Devi and Manki Munda while Munda was handing over opium to the couple, the SP told reporters here. Also Read - Amit Shah's Election Rallies in Jharkhand Cancelled Due to Cyclone Fani

During interrogation, the couple said that they were in the opium business for the past several years and they came to purchase opium at Hakaduba More on Saturday at Rs one lakh per kg when the police intercepted them.

The police recovered the opium from Madki Munda and Rs four lakh from the possession of Ashok Ram, the SP said.

The police also seized a car, motor-cycle and mobiles.
