ACB unearths disproportionate assets, arrests Tahsildar

Amaravati, Dec 27 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau Thursday arrested a Tahsildar in Kurnool district following unearthing of huge assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Amaravati, Dec 27 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau Thursday arrested a Tahsildar in Kurnool district following unearthing of huge assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

ACB Director General R P Thakur said in a release here that two houses, a residential flat, four residential plots and 1.34 acres of agricultural land were found registered in the name of A Sesha Phani, his wife, father, mother and mother-in-law in Kurnool district.

A sum of Rs 13.15 lakh, gold worth Rs 7 lakh, a car and two-wheeler were also seized, the release said.

Phani is currently posted as Tahsildar of Allagadda mandal.
