Jammu, Oct 30 (PTI) A top BSF official Tuesday visited the International Border (IB) and reviewed security situation and operational preparedness on the Jammu frontier, officials said.

During his two-day visit, Additional Director General (Western Command) K N Chaubey visited forward areas in Akhnoor and Sunderbani sectors, a BSF officer said.

Chaubey held meeting with senior officers and field commanders of Akhnoor sector and reviewed the operational preparedness of the border guarding force in the region.

He further visited the forward area of the IB in Akhnoor and took stock of the situation on ground.

IG BSF (Jammu) Ram Awatar and DIG BSF (Sunderbani) Madhukar M accompanied the ADG during the visit.
