Centre approves relief fund for Kerala, Nagaland, Andhra
The central government on Thursday approved additional assistance of Rs. 3048.39 crore, Rs. 131.16 crore and Rs. 539.52 crore to the states of Kerala, Nagaland, and Andhra Pradesh respectively, which were affected by floods, landslides and cyclone Titli respectively during the recent months.
New Delhi (India) Dec 06 (ANI): The central government on Thursday approved additional assistance of Rs. 3048.39 crore, Rs. 131.16 crore and Rs. 539.52 crore to the states of Kerala, Nagaland, and Andhra Pradesh respectively, which were affected by floods, landslides and cyclone Titli respectively during the recent months.
The decision was taken during a High Level Committee meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh, Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and senior officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture were present in the meeting.
The High Level Committee approved the additional assistance from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).(ANI)
