“The murder case should be handed over to the CBI. We cannot hope for justice from the BJP government,” Subodh Kant Sahay, a former central minister and a senior Congress leader, said in Dhanbad.

Neeraj Singh’s supporters have called a shutdown in Dhanbad on Thursday.

The Jharkhand government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident. No arrests have been made yet.
