New Delhi, Feb 14 (PTI) Crude oil futures rose Rs 4 to Rs 3,847 per barrel Thrusday as speculators raised bets amid a firm trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in current month was up Rs 4, or 0.10 per cent, at Rs 3,847 per barrel, with a business turnover of 5,779 lots.
Analysts said building up of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend in global market after top exporter Saudi Arabia said it would cut crude exports influenced crude prices, but swelling US crude inventories limited the gains.
Meanwhile, US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude prices were up by 0.48 per cent, at USD 54.16 and Brent crude rose 0.58 per cent, to USD 63.98 a barrel.
