New Delhi, Dec 12 (PTI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) member Prem Singh Chandumajra Wednesday demanded in the Lok Sabha that the death anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur be declared as martyrdom day and a national holiday.
Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth of the ten Sikh Gurus.
“I request the central government to declare the day as martyrdom day and announce a national holiday,” he said.
Chandumajra also urged members to speak about the Guru in the House.
