DSA to hold selection trials for Santosh Trophy

New Delhi, Dec 12 (PTI) Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) will hold a selection trial-cum-coaching camp here from December 16 to select the state senior team for the North Zone leg of the Santosh Trophy tournament.

The selection trial-cum-coaching camp will be held at Ambedkar Stadium.

The DSA has constituted a selection committee with Qurram Raza as chairman and Anadi Barua as convenor while Rakesh Joshi, Hafiz Shahid, V C Bhatt and Bankim Dutta are the other members.

The selection committee will shortlist 50 probables on December 18, which again will be pruned down to 30, including eight U-21 players, on December 22.

The final list of 20, including five U-21 players, will be announced on December 24.

The North Zone leg of the Senior National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy will start from January 15 in Uttar Pradesh.
