New Delhi, Jan 6 (PTI) Union minister Manoj Sinha Sunday claimed that ‘poorvanchal’- a reference to eastern Uttar Pradesh –has emerged as a model of development after Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power.
Sinha, who represents Ghazipur in the Lok Sabha, blamed the past non-BJP governments for the region’s backwardness and spoke about the development it has seen in the last four and a half years after the NDA came to power in 2014, a statement said.
He has been holding meetings in different cities across the country to address people from the constituency and sharing the development works being undertaken there, it said.
Sinha said a big food processing unit will soon be established in Ghazipur and that it will soon be connected to cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Lucknow by air under the Udan scheme.
