Today’s statement by the ministry says the suspects were killed in an exchange of fire as security personnel targeted one of their hideouts on the outskirts of Cairo. Also Read - Man Waits For 6 Months After Swallowing Phone, Undergoes Surgery After Experiencing Pain

The attack on the policemen took place on July 14 when gunmen riding on a motorcycle opened fire on a security vehicle patrolling a Giza village, next to some of Egypt’s oldest pyramids.
Insurgents have carried out scores of suicide bombings and attacks in Egypt since the ouster of former Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, whose one-year rule proved divisive.(AP)
