New Delhi, Aug 16 (PTI) Four IAS officers working with the central government were today sent back to their cadre state of Bihar.
The development comes a fortnight after a new government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with the BJP’s support, was sworn-in in Bihar.
Those repatriated to their cadres included senior bureaucrats Sunil Kumar Singh (1983 batch) and Subhas Sharma (1984 batch), an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
Singh and Sharma are currently working as additional secretaries in the agriculture and farmers’ welfare ministry and the information and broadcasting ministry respectively, as per their official records.
Besides them, Uday Singh Kumawat (1993 batch) and A N Safeena (1997 batch) have also been repatriated.
As per the official records, Kumawat is the joint secretary in the department of revenue under the finance ministry and Safeena is the development commissioner of the Cochin Special Economic Zone.
