Puducherry, Jul 29 (PTI) France has drawn up plans to conduct ‘Bon Jour India’ (Festival of India) programme for three months from November this year in Puducherry, a release from the Chief Minister’s office said today.Also Read - France Suspends International Flights From South Africa For 48 Hours Due To New Covid Variant

The new French Consul General in Puducherry Catherine Suard and Director of French Institute and Mission Head of the ‘Bon Jour India’ Bertrand de Hartingh today called on chief minister V Narayanasamy and Health and Tourism minister Malladi Krishna Rao and held discussions on the forthcoming event, the release said. It said the Consul General of France also held discussions with the chief minister on ‘Smart City project’, holding of investors meet and tourism development projects in Puducherry, a former French colony.
Puducherry has been included by the Union Urban Development Ministry under Smart City Mission.
