“The state Cabinet resolved to grant extension to the six offshore casinos licensees to relocate their offshore casinos from the Mandovi river for a further period of six months from April 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018,” as per a Cabinet resolution. Last September, Parrikar granted a six-month extension to the six offshore casinos for relocation, which is expiring on March 31, 2018.

Parrikar had announced that he would be formulating a Casino Policy which will decide the fate of the gaming industry.
