Jaipur, Jul 31 (PTI) Several places in Rajasthan today received light to moderate rainfall while heavy rains lashed isolated areas in the Jaipur and Udaipur divisions.

The Mounnt Abu Tehsil in Sirohi district and Fatehpur in Sikar district recorded 7 cm of rainfall, Churu 6 cm and Nawalgarh and Sikar 5 cm each since yesterday, the MeT department said.

Rainfall at many other areas was below 5 cm, it said.

Sriganganagar, Churu, Pilani, Ajmer and Jaipur also recorded 31 mm, 8.6 mm, 2.2 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.5 mm rains, the MeT said.

Railway traffic was affected due to the heavy rains. Six trains, including the Jodhpur-Gandhidham Express, were cancelled, eight trains terminated and route of four trains have been changed, a North Western Railway spokesperson said.PTI SDA
