New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) The HRD Ministry has sanctioned over Rs 164 crore for self-defence training in schools to enhance safety and security of girls.
“Endeavouring to enhance safety and security of girls, @HRDMinistry is providing funds for #SelfDefence training under the #SamagraShiksha,” Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted.
While an amount of Rs 102.22 crore has been sanctioned for training at elementary level in 1.34 lakh schools, Rs 62.27 crore has been sanctioned for training at secondary level in 76,581 schools.
