Addressing the gathering, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said Jharkhand is the first state in the country where stove and first refill are given free with LPG connection.
He said, though Jharkhand is a a backward state, the poor families associated with the Ujjwala scheme are making an average of three refills annually and this is a huge success.
To provide clean fuel in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Bokaro, LPG will be made available through pipelines soon, he said.
