Mumbai, Nov 28 (PTI) The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has removed unauthorised alterations made by four establishments, including Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor’s office, located in a six-floor commercial complex in suburban Santacruz, an official said today.
Anil Kapoor Films Co. Pvt Ltd (AKFC) is located at the top floor of the building, according to the official.
He said the action was taken against the four establishments, spread over 2500 sq ft area, last Saturday.
The cabins and cubicles built in the four establishments were not authorised as no prior permission was taken from the civic body.
“Notices were served under section 53 (1) of Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act (MRTP) in the month of September to the current four occupants to clear their position,” he said.
The official said as the occupants, including Anil Kapoor, failed to file a reply to our notices, the MCGM officers removed the unauthorised wooden and glass works in the four premises, including the actor’s office.
Kapoor could not be reached for comments.
The MCGM had recently taken action for non-compliance with rules against actor Shah Rukh Khan and comedian Kapil Sharma.
