Imphal, Oct 4 (PTI) A militant of the United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) was arrested from Kakching district, police said today.

A self styled ‘sergeant’ of UKLF, Kamkholun Guite was arrested by police from Serou Lamkhai area of Kakching district and a 9 mm pistol along with a magazine was recovered from his possession yesterday, the police said.

On Monday, a team of Assam Rifles held a person and seized a 9 mm Glock 19 pistol along with two magazines which were kept concealed inside the fuel tank of a vehicle near Moreh town in Tengnoupal district, a press release issued by PRO of Assam Rifles said today.

The arrested person along with the seized pistol and other accessories were handed over to Moreh police station, the release added.
