New Delhi, Feb 20 (PTI) Mustard seed prices fell 0.25 per cent to Rs 3,912 per quintal in futures trade Wednesday as speculators trimmed positions amid subdued cues from the physical market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustard seed for delivery in March declined by Rs 10, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 3,912 per quintal with an open interest of 23,010 lots.
Similarly, mustard seed for delivery in April was also trading down by Rs 13, or 0.33 per cent, at Rs 3,945 per quintal with an open interest of 2,210 lots.
Marketmen attributed the persistent weakness in prices to participants cutting down positions amid weak trend at the spot market.
