In an interaction with media persons at his official residence here, the Minister for Planning, Coordination and Land Revenue said the state government had set a target of 60 days for repair and maintenance of all major roads. Kronu said that the state government would forward proposals to the Centre, seeking funds for improvement of roads in Nagaland.
“While the sanction is awaited from the Centre, which may take time, the state government decided to make use of the available resources and advertise tenders for undertaking the road repair works,” he said.
“We want to repair all major roads, including other necessary public amenities before the commencement of the festive season, especially Christmas,” Kronu added.
