Bhopal, March 16 (IANS) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday got 11-day custody of three persons accused of triggering a blast on the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train this month, an official said.

A special NIA court here granted the custody of Atif Muzaffar, Mohammad Danish and Syed Mir Hussain to the agency for further investigation.

The national counter-terrorism law enforcement agency took over the case on Tuesday from Madhya Pradesh Police that arrested the accused in connection with the explosion that took place on March 7.

The blast occurred in the general compartment of the 59320 Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train near Jabdi station in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh, injuring 10 persons.

A team of NIA officials is camping in Bhopal for investigation of the case, the official said.
