“We had a lot of ideas that never made their way into the first film because they always felt like they belonged in a sequel, rather than an origin story.
“It always felt like it would be fun to see ‘Paddington’ at work and he’s such a decent character that it felt it could be emotionally satisfying to see him fall prey to an injustice,” King said in a statement.
“Paddington 2”, is the sequel to the 2014 movie of the same name, which was based on the best-selling book by British author Michael Bond.
The film will be distributed by PVR Pictures in India.
