Patna, Jan 29 (PTI) Purnea was the coldest place in Bihar with a minimum temperature of 4.9 degree Celsius, the Met bulletin said here today.

Purnea recorded the state’s lowest minimum temperature at 4.9 degrees Celsius followed by 7.2 degree Celsius at Gaya, 7.4 degree Celsius in Patna and 9.1 degree Celsius in Bhagalpur, the Met bulletin said.

The Patna Meteorological Centre in its forecast for tomorrow said fog, shallow fog or mist in the morning and mainly clear sky later in the day in major cities of Bihar including Patna.

The Met department said Patna, which witnessed a dense fog till 9 in the morning, is expected to witness fog or mist in the morning followed by mainly clear sky later tomorrow.

Purnea and Bhagalpur are likely to witness fog and shallow fog respectively tomorrow followed by mainly clear skies, it said adding that Gaya may have clear sky tomorrow.
