Dubai, Mar 6 (PTI) A Pakistani national was today executed in Saudi Arabia’s Mecca region for smuggling a quantity of narcotic heroin, the Saudi Interior Ministry said.
The ministry said that a court convicted Fadhal Hadi Qinus and the sentence was endorsed by Appeal and Supreme Courts, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
A royal order was issued to execute the sentence, it added.
The ministry warned that anyone who tries to commit such actions will be punished according to Sharia.
