Superintendent of Police, Indrajeet Mahatha said the security forces launched a search operation in the jungle under the jurisdiction of Chatarpur police station after yesterday’s encounter in which three Naxals were killed and two others surrendered. In course of the search operation the security forces seized Rs 1,05,640 in cash stuffed in a bag, besides live cartridges, the SP said. Also Read - Admn makes U-turn on PM venue black dress advisory

Mahatha said the money seemed to have been collected by the Maoist as extortion from the contractors.
