Eye witnesses told the police that the driver of overloaded truck lost balance due to dense fog and then fell over two cars.

“One car was overtaking the overloaded truck while another rammed it from the back. A large number of villagers gathered and managed to extricate the bodies,” a bystander told the police.

According to police, passengers in one car were going to attend engagement ceremony of a girl and the other car was headed towards Muzaffarnagar.

A case has been registered and police is investigating the matter for further details, the official added.
