The revision in the fares comes after the members of Multiplex Association of India decided to go on strike earlier this week over the imposition of Local Body Tax of 10 percent over GST. The association decided to stall the release of Tamil films from October 6. Previously, the Tamil Nadu government had capped ticket prices at Rs 120.

The revision was made by the High Level Committee Meeting comprising of government officials, representatives from the Tamil Film Chamber of Commerce, and the Tamil Film Producers’ Council. (ANI)
