Hyderabad, Apr 13 (PTI) Punjab Minister for Tourism and Local Government Navjot Singh Sidhu today said Telangana state’s sand mining policy is one of the best policies in the country and his government will examine it to incorporate some of its features.
“With just one or two rivers Telangana can generate so much revenue, Punjab with four rivers can even generate more.
I am not trying flatter the Telangana Government. Their policy is best amongst the best polices,” Sidhu said at a press meet.
The cricketer-turned-politician visited a few places in the state yesterday to study Telangana’s sand mining system.
Sidhu was tasked to study mining policies of various governments before making recommendations to his cabinet.
Telangana’s income from sand grew exponentially over the past few years owing to a foolproof system, he added.
