Umaria (MP), Mar 31 (PTI) A two-year-old tiger was found dead in Dhamokhar range of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve’s buffer zone, 16 km from Umaria district headquarters, a forest department official said today. A team was sent to the area, which found two tigers fighting with each other. The officials separated them before returning.
However, a fight seemed to have erupted again later in the night during which the cub was possibly killed, Pathak said.
The exact reason of death would be known only after reports of autopsy and viscera examination are received, he said.
