Chennai, Sep 29 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit Saturday appointed G Balasubramanian as Vice-Chancellor of Tamil University, Thanjavur, for a three-year period.
Purohit is also the Chancellor of the university.
Balasubramanian has vast experience in teaching, having served in various senior academic positions as dean and head of the department, a press release from Raj Bhavan said.
He is Pro Vice Chancellor of Dravidian University and has published 22 research papers at national and international level and has authored four books, it said.
