Aizawl, Sep 13 (PTI) The truck operators in Mizoram called off their road blockade today evening after a three-day strike and enabled stranded goods-laden trucks to enter the state.

The truck associations were protesting against the bad road conditions across the state.

Mizoram Truck Owners Association (MTOA) and Mizoram Truck Drivers Association (MTDA) said that the lives of the drivers were in danger and the owners suffered losses heavily due to the bad road conditions.

Meanwhile, maxicabs plying between Tripura-Bangladesh border in Mamit district and Aizawl and those plying between Aizawl and Myanmar border district Champhai were off the road due to the bad road conditions.

The maxicabs would be off the road till Saturday creating severe problems for travellers and businessmen, sources said.
