R Rajashekar and R Ramakanth, employees of private firms, duped seven job aspirants by giving them forged appointment letters after collecting Rs 3.15 lakh from them on the pretext of offering jobs as junior assistants in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, a release from Hyderabad Police said. A case under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record) and 506 (criminal intimidation) was registered, officials added.
