The accident took place on the Bhandup flyover on the Eastern Express Highway when a group of five friends was heading for Thane in a car, a police official said. Also Read - All Mumbai Schools Under BMC Limits To Remain Closed Until Further Orders

Two of the car’s occupants, aged around 21, died on the spot, while three others sustained serious injuries, he said.

The injured are being treated at a hospital in Mulund, the officer said, adding that probe is on.
