Jehanabad, Dec 12 (PTI) Two minor boys have drowned in a water-filled ditch at Dakra village in Bihar’s Jehanabad district, a police officer said Wednesday.
Their bodies have been fished out by local divers and sent for post-mortem to Jehanabad Sadar Hospital in Barabar police station area of the district, Station House Officer (SHO) Krishna Kumar said.
The deep trench, created by scooping out sand, was filled with water to the brim, the SHO said.
“The two boys, who had gone out to play, slipped into the ditch around 9pm on Tuesday. Local people who witnessed the incident immediately called for help, but the boys could not be saved,”he added.
