Assam SHOCKER! Hospital Worker Arrested For Raping Minor Girl’s Corpse Kept In Mortuary
In a shocking case of necrophilia, a man working at the Karimganj Civil Hospital in Assam was arrested for raping the dead body of a minor girl which was kept in the facility's mortuary.
Assam News: In a disturbing incident, a hospital worker was arrested in Karimganj district of Assam for allegedly raping the dead body of minor girl which was kept in the mortuary at facility following the girl’s “unnatural death” a few days ago.
As per the police, the nauseating incident of pedophilic necrophilia was reported at the Karimganj Civil Hospital where the body of the minor girl was kept inside the mortuary for post-mortem following her death.
A senior police official said a case of unnatural death of a minor girl was reported from the Bazaricherra area in Karimganj district earlier this week and the body was kept at the mortuary of Karimganj Civil Hospital to conduct a post-mortem the next day.
“When doctors came to the mortuary for a post-mortem, they found some injury marks on her body and informed us, which was completely opposite from the report of the executive magistrate,” Partha Pratim Das, Superintendent of Police of Karimganj District, told news agency ANI.

He said that following the doctors’ report, an investigation was launched during which a man working as a sweeper at the hospital was apprehended who confessed to the crime and told the police that he had engaged in sexual activities with the dead girl’s cadaver.
“During further inquiry, we apprehended the duty sweeper named Manju Rabi Das and he confessed that he committed sexual activities with the dead body,” the officer said.
The SP said that a case under relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused and the body has been sent to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for further forensic examination.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, he added.
